It’s something all too familiar and seems to be on the increase lately.  Another Chattooga County resident has reported a case of account fraud to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office.

On Monday of this week, a Summerville man reported that while reviewing his daily account statements, he found that a sum of money to be missing from his account. He stated he observed several charges pending from the account from various locations.

The victim stated he has contacted the financial institution and was told to make a report with local
law enforcement.
