A Summerville man reported a case of identity theft to the Summerville Police Department this week.  According to a report, the man’s social security number had been used by someone attempting to get a job in New Jersey and was also used by someone trying to obtain a job at a restaurant in Florida.  The incident had caused problems with the local man receiving his benefits, because the fraudulent activity made it appear he makes more money than he actually does.
