Summerville Police arrested a thirty-five-year-old man this week after he threatened his mother  – and police.

Police were called to a domestic incident and knew that the man in question had active warrants.  On their way to the location, an officer spotted the man walking down Commerce Street.  The officer stopped and spoke with the man who was irate.  The suspect said he had gone to his mother’s house to get some clothes and told the officer not to “pull up” and talk to him.  When the officer got out of the vehicle the suspect told the officer not to “sneak up” behind him.  The officer produced a taser and told the suspect he would use it if he didn’t comply.

Thirty-five-year-old Joel Tyrone Adams complied with the officer and was arrested on the outstanding warrant and charged with disorderly conduct and was booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
