A forty-three-year-old Trion man was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine after getting his car stuck off Highway 100.

Police say that Mark Shane McGuire pulled off on a service road off Highway 100 and was stuck when they arrived on the scene.  After obtaining a consent to search his vehicle, officers found McGuire to be in possession of approximately 27 grams of meth and 31 grams of marijuana.

McGuire was charged with , Possession of Methamphetamine, Possession of Methamphetamine with Intent, Possession of Marijuana over one ounce, Possession of Marijuana with Intent, Possession of Meth with intent, within 1000 feet of a school, Possession of Marijuana with intent within 1000 feet of a school.
