The Summerville Police Department has released short audio recordings from the shooting incident taking place Friday, January 15th at the Melanie Inn convenience store on Hawkins Drive.

On that date two gunmen entered the store demanding money with one of the pair firing off a single round, striking the clerk in the upper abdomen, causing serious injuries.

It's unclear just how much, if any, money, the suspects actually got away with; investigators stated that they did make off with cigarettes and other items from the store.

The audio clip, which can be heard on AM1180 newscasts, has been edited to remove vulgar language; one of the men can clearly be heard demanding lottery tickets.  Anyone who may be able to identify the voice of the suspect should immediately dial 9-1-1 and make a report.

The Summerville Police Department, is offering a $1,000 reward, for information leading to the arrest of those responsible for that hold up and subsequent shooting of the store clerk.

The employee who was shot is reportedly in critical but stable condition.
