Summerville Police and the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force arrested a sixty-two-year-old Alabama man in Summerville last week on drug charges. 

According to a report from the Summerville Police Department released yesterday, law enforcement had been watching a house on Favor Street due to high volumes of traffic and suspected drug activity.  While an officer with the police department and an agent with the drug task force were conducting surveillance, they noticed a woman with an active warrant going into the house.  After securing the warrant, the officers made contact with the occupants of the house and arrested Amber Carmen Kirk Sipsy on the active warrant.  Another man at the house, sixty-two-year-old Billy Eugene Epps, Jr. of Cedar Bluff, was seen stuffing something between his legs in an attempt to hide it from law enforcement.

Officers located a glass pipe with suspected methamphetamine and some methamphetamine inside a plastic bag in a green plastic case.  Epps was arrested and charged with possession of methamphetamine and possession of drug related objects and was booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
