Summerville Police arrested a Summerville woman January 25 after finding her intoxicated in a ditch. According to the report, officers were dispatched to John Jones Road just after 2 p.m. that day. They reportedly found 51-year-old Deborah Wilkins, of a John Jones Road address, lying in the ditch next to the road. Wilkins reportedly spelled of alcohol, according to the report and did admit to consuming alcoholic beverages prior to the ditch incident. The report indicates that while speaking to Wilkins she also became loud and used vulgar language.

Wilkins was charged with public intoxication and taken to the Chattooga County Jail.
