Summerville Police responded to a report of property damage at a residence on Wood Street following an incident that reportedly occurred earlier in the week, according to a police report.

Police say the incident was reported on December 17, 2025, after damage was discovered to a Whirlpool stove inside the home. The resident told officers she had noticed the damage after a friend arrived at the residence and pointed it out. The damage was believed to have occurred around December 16.

According to the report, the resident stated she later contacted her former boyfriend by text message regarding the damaged stove. In those messages, he reportedly acknowledged being angry at the time and said he did not intend to cause damage. He also indicated he would be willing to discuss the matter.

Officers made contact with the former boyfriend, who denied intentionally damaging the stove but stated it was possible the damage occurred during the incident. He told police he did not hear glass break and said he would not return to the residence. The individual reportedly agreed to help replace the damaged stove.

No injuries were reported, and no arrests were made in connection with the incident.
