Summerville Police are investigating a reported vehicle entering incident that occurred earlier this week.

According to a police report, an officer was dispatched on December 24, 2025, at approximately 2:44 p.m., to 170 Cox Street in reference to an entering auto complaint. The complainant told officers he discovered the passenger-side door of his truck open when he woke up that morning at his residence on 260 Hinton Street.

The victim reported he does not lock his truck and said the passenger-side door does not lock. He told police that his vehicle registration and several other items were missing. The complainant also reported that his spare truck key was taken from inside his residence.

Police advised the victim that a report would be filed, and the case has been turned over to investigators for follow-up.
