Summerville Police have issued warrants for a suspect after a man reported his wallet stolen at the Pay-n-Tote on Highway 114 earlier this month.

According to a Summerville Police incident report, the victim, Mr. Harris, told officers that on December 4 he dropped his wallet from the front pocket of his hoodie while inside the store. When he returned a short time later to pick it up, it was gone. Store employees reviewed security footage and advised him that someone had taken the wallet, prompting him to file a report.

Officer Smith obtained a copy of the surveillance video, which reportedly showed a man identified as Terry Anthony picking up the wallet from the floor and placing it into his pants pocket. Mr. Harris told police the wallet contained approximately $13 in cash, debit and credit cards, his Social Security card, driver’s license, and medical information cards.

Police say warrants have been obtained for Anthony. No further information was released.
