Smith, of a North Washington Street address, told Summerville Police that the lawnmower was stolen while he and his family were visiting at the local nursing home.  Mr. Smith said that they were gone a good part of the day and when they returned home, he found that his riding mower was missing.

Smith called Summerville Police after he located his lawnmower on Spearmint Trail in Summerville on Wednesday of last week.  Smith had told police that he believed he knew who took the mower.

Sixty-year-old Terry Anthony was arrested and charged with theft of the mower and was booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
