The Summerville Police Department released a report this week about a drug bust that took place on Martin Street in Summerville on March 6th.  According to the report, police received tips that drugs were being sold from a 968 Martin Street Address.

Police say that informants told them that Jackie Blackmon and Rodney Henderson were actively selling methamphetamine from the residence.  Blackmon is currently on felony probation for prior charges.  Shortly before midnight on March 6th, officers with the Summerville Police Department and agents with the Lookout Mountain Judicial Circuit Drug Task Force went to the residence and were met at the door by Jackie Blackmon, who invited the officers inside.

Officers learned that there were multiple occupants at the residence, including one woman who was living in a shed in the back yard.  The occupants of the house were identified as Rodney Henderson, Holly Marshall, Kristen Williams and Russel Branch.  Michelle Smith was identified as the woman living in the shed.  Officers asked if there was methamphetamine at the residence.  Williams readily admitted to possessing meth and took a small baggie from her bra area and handed it the officers.  Officers asked if they could search the residence.  Henderson then asked if they had a search warrant.

A Summerville Police Officer requested and received a search warrant from Magistrate Judge Tracy Maddux.  Shortly after midnight, officers executed the search warrant and turned up methamphetamine and digital scales.  Contraband was also found in the outbuilding where Smith was staying. No one immediately claimed the contraband, so everyone at the residence was arrested on drug charges and were booked into the Chattooga County Jail.  (See arrest report from March 7, 2024)

Due to the proximity of the residence to the Summerville Recreation basketball court on Martin Street, additional charges were added.
