The Summerville Police is looking into the theft of a gas heater and a missing pocketbook, according to incident reports released on Wednesday.
Cassandra Glass told police that an infrared gas heater at her rental property had been stolen. Ms. Glass told the responding officer that she had been renting the Broad Street house to a male subject and that the renter’s boyfriend had been staying with him. The complainant told police that she suspected that the heater was stolen by the man’s boyfriend. The heater was valued at $300.
In a separate incident, Caroline McClure told police that her purse had turned up missing and she didn’t know for sure if it had been lost or stolen. Ms. McClure said that the pocketbook contained her license, insurance and EBT cards. The case was turned over to an investigator.
