The Summerville 7-8 Boys All-Star basketball team traveled to Effingham County this past weekend, and came home as State Champions!

The 7-8 Boys All-Star team, coached by Tad Allen and Jeff Cochran took the team of 9 boys to travel after winning their region in the league. They won their first game against Effingham County 31-8.

Following a short break they defeated Villa Rica 29-16 to move on the the championship against Mitchell County. The narrowly defeated them 32-30 to bring home the title.

The last time any boys All-Star team has brought home a championship since 1992.
