The deadline to sign your child up for fall sports at the Summerville Recreation Center was extended; that means you have until this coming Monday to get them signed up.

The recreation center was closed back in July due to the COVID-19 pandemic after several staff members either tested positive, or showed symptoms of the coronavirus.

Recreation officials say that the buildings have been thoroughly cleaned, and daily cleaning continues.

Since there was an interruption during sign-up time due to the pandemic, the deadline is now this coming Monday, August 17.  The recreation center will be open on Monday from 9 AM until 7 PM.

The public is asked to abide by social-distancing guidelines while visiting the Summerville Recreation Center.
