A Summerville resident has a complaint about Georgia Power.  It has nothing to do with her power bill though. The complainant is upset because Georgia Power cut a tree on her property without her permission.

According to a report from the Summerville Police Department, the incident happened last Thursday when a Georgia Power crew came onto Debbie Nance’s property on Martin Street and cut a fig tree.

Ms. Nance asked police if she could file a report about the incident, and the responding officer said that she could.  She told the officer that the fig tree had been there for years and that the “head crew leader” from Georgia Power in Rome cut the tree without asking her about it.

The report was filed on June 20th.
