A Summerville woman is accused of macing two K-Mart employees after they stopped her for suspected shoplifting on Dec . 8, reports stated.

Connie Christine Fraser, 42, 140 Bittings Ave, was stopped by K-Mart’s loss prevention staff Wednesday night after an employee watching the surveillance videos saw her take items off the shelf and conceal them, reports stated.

Police say when she was stopped by loss prevention staff she started shouting, “I can’t go back!” and maced the two men.

When police searched her car they say they found a cooler of Natural Lite beer on ice and two empty cans within reach of the driver’s seat.

They also found merchandise that appeared to have been stolen at other stores and an unmarked container of suspected hydrocodone and xanax tablets.

Fraser was charged with felony theft by receiving stolen property, theft by shoplifting and possession of xanax. She was also charged with misdemeanor drugs to be kept in original container, simple battery and public drunkenness.

Fraser remained in jail Thursday morning.
