A thirty-six-year-old Chattooga County woman was arrested this week on drug charges in neighboring Cherokee County, Alabama.

According to jail records from Cherokee County, Teya Hedgecoth of Summerville was arrested by Cherokee County Sheriff’s deputies on charges of possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.

Hedgecoth was arrested on Tuesday night and booked into the Cherokee County Detention Center where she was being held on a $3,500 bond.
