A forty-seven-year-old Summerville woman has been implicated by the Floyd County Sheriff’s Office in a bomb threat late last week.

Beth Raylene Neighbors has been charged with terroristic threats and acts and is currently being held at the Floyd County Jail without bond.
On Friday, the sheriff’s office reported the threat had been received around 10:30 AM. The county jail was placed on lock down and people were asked to avoid visiting the sheriff’s office.
A perimeter search was completed and no evidence of a bomb was found.
Both Rome High and Rome Middle School briefly were on alert because of the proximity of the jail, according to a Rome City Schools media release.
