A 29 year old Summerville woman wound up with additional charges after being stopped for a DUI in Rome on Thursday. According to reports from the Floyd County Jail, Savanah Shockley of Summerville was pulled over by two officers in Floyd County and charged with misdemeanor DUI. Shockley then began struggling with the two cops. The report stated that Ms. Shockley kicked one of the officers in the leg and injured the hand of another officer. She was subsequently charged with a felony charge of obstruction of a law enforcement officer and remained in the Floyd County Jail as of Friday.
