The Summerville Police Department is investigating a report of missing medication after a local woman said her prescription was picked up but never delivered to her. According to the incident report, the call came in on November 13th when an officer was dispatched to CVS in Summerville regarding a possible lost or stolen prescription.
The complainant, Lakeisha Watkins, told police she had been incarcerated at the time her medication was filled. She said two acquaintances picked up the prescription for her on November 8th, but she never received it after being released. Watkins said she waited several days before contacting authorities when the medication didn’t turn up.
When officers arrived at CVS, they reviewed security footage with staff, but the vehicle seen picking up the prescription could not be clearly identified. The pharmacist then provided the name and information of the individual who signed for the medication, leading police to confirm who picked up the medication.
The prescription reportedly contained 90 Oxycodone pills. Officers advised Watkins to notify police if the medication surfaced and completed a report documenting the incident. The case remains under review as investigators work to determine what happened to the missing prescription.
