A Summerville woman told authorities on Tuesday of this week, that she believes her vehicle was taken without permission and later brought back after she discovered it damaged at her home.

The incident was reported at a residence on Sixth Avenue in Summerville. According to the report, the woman said she noticed her car had damage and believed it may have been stolen and then returned to the property sometime afterward.

The vehicle involved is described as a black 2019 Nissan Altima Hybrid with a Georgia license plate. The woman reported damage on multiple areas of the car, including the passenger side, the driver side, and the front bumper.

Authorities documented the report as a motor vehicle theft complaint and indicated the case would be forwarded to investigators for follow-up.
