A Summerville woman was sentenced to four years probation and ordered to pay restitution to the pharmacy where she worked for stealing prescription opiods.
WZQZ News reported in December of 2018 on the arrest of Diane Harper, and employee of CVS Pharmacy in Summerville. Summerville Police were called in to investigate after the pharmacy discovered a large amount of “Tramadol” missing from their inventory.
Tramadol is prescribed to treat moderate to severe pain in adults.
Harper was arrested on December 12, 2018 after police believed there was enough evidence to indict her on charges of obtaining a controlled substance by fraudulent means. Harper was subsequently indicted on the charges and confessed to taking over 900 of the pain pills from CVS Pharmacy.
Harper has been sentenced to four years probation under the first-time offenders act and has been ordered to pay restitution to CVS.

Must have had much to write about today you choose to continue to drag a great woman that made a mistake through the mud again how about rhe fact that she was coersed in to signing a statement told what to write word for word by the loss prevention officer of CVS and the fact that no pills were ever foumd in her possession or the fact that the loss prevention officer side stepped her constitutional rights to get the signature on the statement. And the 900 pills thats a damn lie and the fact that the girl that was questioned before Diane was so emotionally distressed after her meeting with the loss prevention officer at cvs. She could not return to work hell if you gonna run part of rhe story run all of it but I bet the Summerville police dept didn’t volunter that info did they
Oh yeah and I forgot to mention the video that they claimed they had that increminated her never made it to the day of discovery cause it doesn’t exist
