An investigation is underway regarding a fraudulent application for a new debit card from United Community Bank.  The victim reported to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office that someone had misrepresented themselves at the bank, claiming to be her then illegally used her information to order the card – which was reportedly sent to a different address than that of the victim.

The investigation is on-going.
