Chattooga County Farm Bureau vice president Bill Bryan of Summerville was re-elected to a two-year term on the Georgia Farm Bureau board of directors as a first district director.

Voting delegates from the 15 counties in Georgia Farm Bureau’s first district re-elected Bryan during the organization’s 2015 annual convention held on Jekyll Island, Dec. 6-8. Bryan was first elected as a GFB director in 2013.

Bryan and his wife, Nanette, raise beef cattle and hay on their farm. He works for the Athens, Tenn., Stockyard where he is the teleauction sale manager.

The Bryans are active members of the Chattooga County Farm Bureau (CCFB). Bryan, who has been a bureau member since 1990, has served as CCFB vice president since 2008 and served as a county director from 2006 to 2008. He is chairman of the CCFB legislative committee and was a member of the Catoosa County Farm Bureau where he served as a county director from 1994 to 2000.

Bryan is a past state Georgia Cattlemen’s Association director and president and a past president of the Chattooga County Young Farmers Association.

The Bryans attend East Armuchee Baptist Church and have two daughters, Christy and Kayla and one grandson, Luke.
