The World Friendship Pocket Park will be dedicated next month at an event hosted by the City of Summerville.  The park is located directly across from the Summerville Depot near the historic Couey House and Summerville train turntable in downtown Summerville.

The dedication of the new park will be in conjunction with the Summerville Friendship Festival on July 29, 2023.  The festival gets underway at 9 AM.

The event will feature food, music, crafts, children’s activities, and more. All communities, cities, towns, churches and civic organizations are invited to join Summerville as “Sisters in Friendship” for a pedestrian parade around the park by the World Friendship Flag.

There will also be a special dedication for the World Friendship Pocket Park.
