The issue of Sunday alcohol sales is on the minds of many in the town of Lyerly.

Whether or not sales will be allowed on Sundays will be determined Tuesday.  Mayor Josh Wyatt recently told the Summerville News, that the way it was written, Sunday sales would start in two weeks after the vote, if the measure passes.

Wyatt told the paper that he was hopeful Sunday sales would boost revenue for the town.

The proposal before voters would allow the sale of beer, wine and liquor between 12:30pm and 11:30pm on Sunday.

Lyerly currently has three locations selling alcohol – one liquor store and two convenience stores.
