Donations are being accepted for storm victims and relief workers affected by the recent storms that ravaged surrounding counties. Supplies can be dropped off at the Library in their Chattooga Room, during the Library’s regular operating hours– today they are open until 8 PM. The Library has agreed to be the drop-off point through next Friday, May 6th.
You can organize your group to drop off items such as bottled water, power/energy
bars, baby wipes and diapers, maybe even note pads & pens for them to take notes,
anything the workers could use.
After we get reports from areas like Ft. Payne-DeKalb, Dade County/ Catoosa/ Floyd-Armuchee, we will send out requests for needed items – You can contact me, Sylvia Keziah at the Commissioner’s office, or some of the Girl Scout leaders: Kristen Williams at 706-676-1544 or Lisa Richardson 706-857-8910 who work with Diane Young.
