The Father’s Heart Cafe is working to make Christmas a little brighter for children in Chattooga County with a community-wide Christmas toy drive.

The organization announced Monday that it has already delivered and placed five toy donation boxes at businesses throughout the county, giving residents several convenient locations to contribute gifts for children this holiday season.

Businesses participating in the effort include Pine Ridge Outdoor Supply, The Great Awakening Coffee Company, and local Dollar General stores.

Residents are encouraged to donate new, unwrapped toys suitable for children of all ages. Donations can be placed directly into the collection boxes at participating businesses.

The Father’s Heart Cafe is also inviting additional local businesses to participate in the Christmas toy drive by hosting donation boxes at their locations. Business owners interested in helping can contact the organization for more information.

Organizers say the goal is to bring the community together to help make Christmas special for local children who might otherwise go without gifts.
