Summerville Friday Night Concert Series Continues May 15

The City of Summerville will present the second concert of the Summerville Natural Gas Friday Night Concert Series on Friday, May 15.

The free concert, sponsored by Summerville Main Street, will be held on East Washington Street within the Entertainment District. Local vocalist Charlie Long will open the evening at 7 p.m., followed by The 1st Generation Band at 7:30 p.m. for a two-hour concert.

Concertgoers are encouraged to bring lawn chairs and dancing shoes. Downtown restaurants will also be open, and the event is family friendly.

East Washington Street will close from US 27/Commerce Street to Regions Bank beginning at 3:15 p.m. for stage setup. Regions Bank customers will still be able to access the drive-thru from the East Washington/University Street side and the main lobby from the north end of Economy Street.

Friday Night Concert Returns To Downtown Summerville April 24

The City of Summerville is inviting the community out for an evening of live music as the Natural Gas Friday Night Concert series continues on April 24.

This week’s featured performance will showcase Pink Houses, a John Cougar Mellencamp tribute band, taking the stage from 7:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. The event will take place along East Washington Street in downtown Summerville.

An opening local act will kick things off at 7 p.m., setting the stage for a full night of entertainment in the city’s Entertainment District streetscape.

Organizers encourage attendees to bring lawn chairs and enjoy a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere filled with great music and community spirit.

The concert is free and open to the public.
