Chattooga County Tax Commissioner Joy Hampton released her “2020 Annual Report” on Tuesday. According to Tax Commissioner Hampton, she wants the public to know what her office has accomplished and how her office works with the county’s other elected officials.
Tax Commissioner Hampton said, “In an effort to be completely transparent, I plan to give this report to the Commissioner each year and have it available for anyone to see. I plan to use this report to build on each year so that I can keep trying to improve and keep myself accountable.”
In addition to the report, Tax Commissioner Hampton gave an update on 2020 Tax Collections: Currently, 2020 real property collections are at 97.31%, 2019 is at 99.53%, 2018 is at 99.93%.
