Chattooga County Tax Commissioner Joy Hampton is reminding taxpayers that her office will be closed for training next Tuesday – Thursday.

The tax commissioner said that she and her office workers will be in all-day training, but that she will do her best to respond to any messages that come up next week while she and her workers are in training.

The tax commissioner said, “The tax/tag office will be closed for training May 10-12 (Tuesday-Thursday). We’ll will be in class ALL DAY on the days we’re closed so that we can help you with the latest and most accurate information, and I (Joy) will answer messages, emails and texts as fast as I can during our breaks.”

The tax office will be open on Monday and Friday of next week with normal business hours.
