An eighteen-year-old Summerville man was arrested last week after he threatened to cut his bedridden father’s throat. A deputy and Chattooga County Sheriff Mark Schrader responded to the domestic call on Homestead Drive and spoke with witnesses who said that Levi Adams became irate with his brother over a set of headphones. At one point, witnesses said that Adams grabbed a kitchen knife and threatened his father, telling him that if he called 911, he would “slit his throat”. Adams admitted to the deputy and sheriff that he had made the threat. Adams was arrested and taken to the Chattooga County Jail on charges of terroristic threats and acts.
