The mother of a local teenager reported to Chattooga County Sheriff's Deputies on Thursday that her daughter is being threatened by other teenagers and she is concerned. According to the report, the mom said that while at McDonald's her daughter received a text message from another teen threatening a fight. The girl also told her mother that she was told by a friend that things were being said about her and she was going to get jumped at school the next day by the girl who texted her and two other teens. The mom was informed of Magistrate Court procedures and was also told that the School Resource Officer would be notified of the threats. There was no word on the report as to which local school the girl attends.
