On Wednesday evening AM 1180 told you about two Summerville teenagers that were arrested in connection with a string of burglaries that have been going on for the past couple of weeks. 

Charges against the two 18 year old males were filed on Thursday by the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Department as a result of an investigation.  Austin Lane Ramsey and Brandon Michael Cagle confessed to the crimes according to Chattooga County Sheriff John Everett. 

Ramsey was charged with eight counts of burglary, three counts of theft by taking and one count of obstruction of an officer. Cagle was charged with eight counts of burglary and three counts of theft by taking.

Sheriff Everett said that jewlery had been stolen from several homes, including the home of a local attorney – Sanford "Buddy" Hill.  The two teens were taking the stolen jewelry and selling it for cash according to sheriff’s department investigators.
