The Teloga community is mourning the loss of a long-serving and beloved public servant following the passing of Patrick Lee Wesson, a dedicated volunteer firefighter who served the Teloga Volunteer Fire Department for 24 years. Wesson passed away on Monday, July 14, 2025.

According to an announcement from the Teloga Volunteer Fire Department, Wesson joined the department not long after its establishment, dedicating over two decades of his life to protecting and serving his neighbors.

“Patrick made a great impact to those in our community, the Teloga Fire Department, and anyone he came in contact with,” the department stated. “He was a true friend to the community and quick to jump in and help anyone in need.”

Wesson’s commitment and selfless spirit left an indelible mark on the Teloga community. The fire department’s message highlighted that while the community grieves, it also celebrates the life of “our firefighter and friend.”
