The Teloga Volunteer Fire Department (VFD) has issued a heartfelt appeal to the community, asking for prayers and support for one of its own – a retired firefighter currently facing a serious health challenge.
According to a statement released by the department, the former first responder has been hospitalized and recently required transport to Atlanta for more specialized medical care. While specific details regarding the firefighter’s condition are being kept private out of respect for their privacy and that of their family, the department underscored the critical nature of their situation.
“We are reaching out to our community on behalf of one of our own,” the Teloga VFD shared. “One of our retired firefighters is in the hospital and has had to be transported to ATL for more specialized support. We would appreciate you lifting him up in prayer.”
The department has opted not to disclose the individual’s name publicly, emphasizing the importance of privacy during this difficult time. However, they urged residents to extend their thoughts and prayers not only to the retired firefighter but also to their family, who are navigating this challenging period.
“For privacy we won’t share the name, but would appreciate your prayers for him and his family,” the statement concluded.
The Teloga Community, and Chattooga County residents, are encouraged to keep the retired firefighter and their loved ones in their thoughts and prayers as they face these medical obstacles.
