Texas based paper company Temple-Inland is laying off more workers, this time in Texas.
According to reports the company is planning to lay off around 70 people at its Dibold, Texas facility. Earlier this fall Temple – Inland announced it was closing it’s box plant in Floyd County.
The 115-year-old company announced in February it would lay off between 30 and 40 employees at its fiber products plant in Texas, after letting go of 50 employees in August 2007.
Temple-Inland’s stock closed Friday at $2.94 a share on the New York Stock Exchange, up 25 percent from the previous day’s close
