By his own admission, a man arrested for DUI last week told cops that he drinks ten to fifteen beers a day.

The incident started when a officer with the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office noticed Rodney D. Henderson and a female inside Ingles Supermarket in Summerville and the two appeared to be intoxicated.  The officer observed the two get into a vehicle and drive away from the store’s parking lot.  He then called the incident in and Summerville Police were on the lookout for the vehicle that Henderson was driving.

A short time later the vehicle was pulled over on Highway 48 in front of the Chattooga County Civic Center when an officer noticed the passenger was not wearing a seat belt.

Henderson admitted to the officer that he had been drinking and added that he drinks ten to fifteen beers each day.  Henderson was arrested for DUI and booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
