With inflation at a 31-year high and more expected to host big dinners, the holiday meal is getting a price hike.
The price of food at home is up 5.4% over the past 12 months, the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics reported Wednesday. The latest consumer price index shows an 11.9% increase in the price of meat, poultry, fish and eggs.
