An Indian Trail, Summerville man reported the theft of equipment and an equipment trailer to the Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office over the past weekend.

David Turner told a responding deputy that yesterday (Monday) morning around 5:30 AM he discovered that his 2022 Big Tex utility-equipment trailer with a water tank was stolen, along with a 2005 JT2020 Ditchwitch.  Mr. Turner told the deputy that he didn’t know who stole the equipment, but had reason to believe the equipment might be in another state.

Turner told the deputy that the trailer and Ditchwitch were financed and he was still making payments on both.  The trailer was valued at $25,000 and the Ditchwitch was valued at $150,000.

The incident was turned over to an investigator.
