Yesterday (Tuesday), Chattooga County Board of Education member Brad Hayes announced that he would not be seeking reelection to his seat on the board of education.  Hayes represents Seat Two on the local board of education, representing the Pennville area.  Already, at least one candidate has declared their intentions to qualify for the seat.  Tiffany Lawrence told a local news blog that she plans to run for the seat.  Lawrence is a cosmetologist and has children that attend Chattooga County Schools.  Her announcement did not indicate if she would be qualifying as a Democrat or a Republican.  Qualifying starts next week.
