Each year the Tillotson-Menlo Charitable Foundation awards a number of grants in the areas of educational and individual skills improvement, health care, economic development, community enhancement, individual and human development, the arts, and environmental improvement. This year there were four teachers who wrote grant proposals and received funds to carry out their plans which met the criteria set forth by the foundation.

Denver Pate is the CHS Baseball Coach. His $15,000.00 grant proposal, "Building the Future," will be used to build lockers, buy material for the new facility at the baseball complex, and make various field upgrades.

Jeff Bennett was awarded $10,000 for the softball program. Coach Bennett reports that their plan is to use the money to fix the softball field by putting 2 loads of dirt and infield mix on the infield and put in a irrigation system in the outfield.

Claudia Bagley is the RVI Coordinator at CHS. She received $500.00 to cover expenses for three CTI students to attend the State HOSA Leadership Conference in Athens, GA.

Cindy Evans, CHS Media Specialist, received $1,500.00 which will be used to purchase fiction for the promotion of the 25 Book Campaign.
