Brent Marsh will have to pay $750,000 to the family of a man who was sent to the Tri-State Crematory according to a ruling late last week by the Tennessee Supreme Court.  The court upheld a jury verdict against Marsh who had pleaded guilty to giving families concrete dust in the place of ashes for bodies he failed to cremate at the Nobel, Georgia crematory.  Marsh was sentenced to 12 years in prison.  The jury verdict was given to the parents of a man from Tennessee whose body was never cremated by Marsh.  The high court said that the verdict was fair for the intentional infliction of emotional distress on the man’s parents.
