Former Tortaco location in the Triangle Shopping Center in Trion

Fans of Tortaco, an authentic Mexican restaurant formerly located in Chattooga County, are now having to drive to Floyd County to get their favorite Mexican dishes.

Jose Torres, the owner of the restaurant, decided to relocate to Rome after the location he was in at the Triangle Shopping Center in Trion was demolished.

Torres is known for a blend of tortas and the “street version” of tacos.

The new Tortaco Restaurant is now located at 201 Broad Street in Rome.
