Trion Mayor Lanny Thomas says that the town is considering installing an access ramp to the Chattooga River near the Trion Recreation Department.  The mayor says that the idea is in the early planning stages.  The access to the river would be open to the public and could be used by kayakers and others using the river for recreational purposes.  Currently, there are public access points to the Chattooga River in Lyerly and in the Chattoogaville Community.
