The Town of Trion has released its proposed budget for the fiscal year 2025/2026, totaling $15,199,377.88 in both revenue and expenses across all departments. The comprehensive budget covers the General Fund, Gas Revenue Fund, Sewer/WWTP Fund, Water Fund, and SPLOST Fund. A detailed copy of the proposed budget is available for public review at the Town Hall Business Office during regular business hours, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The town is encouraging resident participation and input in the budgetary process. A public hearing work session is scheduled for June 12, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. in the Town Hall Conference Room. This session provides an opportunity for citizens to learn more about the proposed budget and voice their opinions. The final budget adoption is slated for the regular council meeting on Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 6:00 p.m.
