A thirty-seven year old Summerville woman was arrested on drug charges this week after a traffic stop by Chattooga County Sheriff’s Deputies.

Mildred Jean Watkins of a Sloppy Floyd Lake Road address was traveling on Highway 48 in Summerville on Tuesday of this week when a passing deputy noticed her vehicle had a shattered windshield.  When the woman was stopped she was looking through her glove box for a valid insurance card when deputies noticed several knives.  The deputies told the woman to step out of the vehicle because of the weapons. It was then that deputies noticed a clear plastic bag with suspected methamphetamine inside.

Watkins was subsequently arrested on several drug charges and booked into the Chattooga County Jail.
