The Chattooga County Sheriff’s Office is investigating a trailer that went missing from Taliaferro Springs Road in Lyerly.

According to a report released this week, on Saturday March 26th, Robert Brooks said that he had parked his utility trailer at the mobile home of a man who is currently incarcerated.   When he went to retrieve the trailer, a woman – identified as April Thompson – along with two men, blocked Brooks from leaving with his trailer.

Brooks called 911 and a deputy was sent to the scene.  Everyone agreed that Brooks could retrieve his trailer on Sunday morning but when Brooks came back after the trailer – it was gone.

Deputies spoke with Thompson who said she had noticed the trailer was missing but assumed that Brooks had returned to get the trailer.

The incident was turned over to an investigator.
