A n attempted burglary was reported at a Greeson St., Summerville residence on January 10. According to the report by the Chattooga County Sheriff's Department, the renter Michael Finster said he was asleep in the bedroom when he heard a loud banging on the door like someone was trying to kick it in. He said he yelled, "who is it," and there was no reply. Then, he reportedly heard a noice at the back of the house. Finster said he saw a black Dodge truck outside. He said he yelled again and got no reply. By the time he got up, he said the truck was gone. He told deputies that a window at the back of the house was broken out in the incident. According to the report, the bottom glass of the window was missing and the screen was lying on the ground. The report incidates that the screen looked like it has been there for awhle.
